Q1.   Can I manage inventory and transaction for multiple locations with e-Solution Distribution?

Answer:   Yes, you can set up multiple locations for inventory management as well as transaction entry.

 

Q2.   Does e-Solution Distribution keep track of an access audit trial?

Answer:   A detailed usage log is kept for every instance of user access.  Where overriding takes place, an entry is added to the overriding log.

 

Q3.   Are there controls built into the transaction processing modules?

Answer:   You can make use of the transaction audit and approval feature to built controls at each point of the transactions processing cycle.  E.g. Control can be placed at the point of converting a sales order into a deliver order.

 

Q4.   Can I use it to manage products that are perishable?

Answer:   Yes, e-Solution Distribution supports products with serial number, batch number, expiry date and warranty.

 

Q5.   Which type of items does e-Solution Distribution support?

Answer:   Normal items, kits, assembled items, consignment items, concessionaires and services.

 

Q6.   What about items with multiple units of measure?

Answer:   e-Solution Distribution allows you to define different units of measure in relation a base measure.

 

Q7.   How can I manage different prices for my products?

Answer:   You can make use of the price management feature in e-Solution Distribution to define price lists and subsequently prepare and update prices on a global basis.

 

Q8.   Besides the built-in reports, how can I obtain additional reports from the system?

Answer:   You can make use of the built-in report writer to design additional reports. 

 

Q9.   Does e-Solution Distribution handle landed cost?

Answer:   Yes, you can define additional costs to be absorbed into the items during goods receiving. 

 

Q10.   Can I combine multiple deliveries into a single invoice when billing my customers?

Answer:   Yes, you can bill each delivery individually or combine deliveries made to the same customer into one invoice.  This is also applicable to goods receiving.

 

Q11.  Can I have partial billing of delivery orders?

Answer:   Yes, you can invoice part of the items delivered in one DO.

 

Q12.  I have some items that I regularly sell to my customers.  Can I have them in my sales order by default?

Answer:   For each customer, you can set up one or more regular orders containing the items that they order on a regular basis.  You can then create new orders using regular orders as a template.

 

Q13.  How can I prevent sensitive information from being seen by unauthorized users?

Answer:   You can make use of the security feature to prevent such users from accessing modules or master records.  You can also restrict access to sensitive fields in the master records.  In addition, permissions settings in e-Solution Distribution allow you to hide item cost when user enters transactions.

 

Q14.  I have goods on consignment for which suppliers bill for the quantity sold.  Can e-Solution Distribution handle these situations?

Answer:   Yes, e-Solution Distribution supports consignment goods.  You can perform receiving, selling and returning of consignment goods in the system.

 

Q15.  Sometimes I run promotions by offering selected items at special prices.  Does e-Solution Distribution cater to that?

Answer:   You can set up promotions and define their effective period.  Prices for items on promotion can also be defined.  During the promotion period, e-Solution Distribution pulls the promotion prices as the selling price for affected items.

 

Q16.  Sometimes I sell two or more items as a bundle.  Can e-Solution Distribution handle this? 

Answer:   Yes, you can create kits made up of the items you intend to bundle together.  You can even edit the kit components transaction entry.

 

Q17.  Can I revalue my stock items to reflect their current cost?

Answer:   Yes, you can make use of the stock revaluation function to do so.

 

Q18.  Sometimes, I have to write-off stock items due to pilferage, damage or other reasons.  Can I do so with e-Solution Distribution?

Answer:   Yes, you can make inventory adjustments with user-defined stock handling types.

 

Q19.  Some of my customers have multiple outlets.  How can I keep track of them and ensure delivery to the right outlet?

Answer:   You can define multiple addresses for each customer.  When entering sales transactions, you can select the delivery address from these addresses to avoid delivery errors.

 

Q20.  I need extra fields for long remarks in my transactions.  Does e-Solution Distribution provide for that?

Answer:   Yes, long remark fields are provided for each item.  You can also enter messages in between items.

 

Q21.  Can e-Solution Distribution handle assembly with absorption of overheads?

Answer:   Yes, you can define assembled items with components and add overheads for absorption during the assembly process.

 

Q22.  We have a high inventory level and plan to carry out regular stock take.  However we are concern that this will disrupt our operation. 

Answer:   With e-Solution Distribution, this is not a problem.  You can carry out stock take without disrupting your operating as e-Solution Distribution allows you to update stock take results concurrently with daily transactions with its dynamic physical inventory.
